About

Tampa's leading alternative rock band

Originally founded by brothers Phil and PJ Cruz after composing the featured theme for web series Surviving Sam, The Cruz Brothers have a wide and eclectic range of musical influences and an energetic live performance. Their original music is influenced by bands like The Foo Fighters, Nirvana, The Doors, Stevie Ray Vaughn, and Deftones.

Phil Cruz, the lead guitarist and vocalist, sounds like he's recreating Woodstock with his soulful, driving leads and resonant, powerful vocals.

PJ Cruz, the percussionist, forms the backbone of The Cruz Brothers by utilizing a variety of instruments and a diverse mix of rhythms to keep the sound tight yet provocative.

Taylor Benson, who performs on bass guitar and keyboards, adds  a captivating stage performance, her knowledge as a multi-instrumentalist and her overall strong musicianship to the mix.

Recently endorsed by Dean guitars and former Seminole Hard Rock Tampa Brand Ambassadors, The Cruz Brothers are proud to represent these companies and be part of their family.

Committed to bringing tight, live performances and maintaining a fun, professional environment, The Cruz Brothers are dedicated to their passion for music.

They are driven to become the best songwriters, performers, and musicians they can be.
